The title of this lesson is shamelessly stolen from my good friend David Avrin’s excellent new book Ridiculously Easy to do Business With. The lesson, however, is something that has underpinned my approach to work for most of my life and an aspiration I hope I have consistently improved my ability to meet.
Being ridiculously easy to work with means replying to emails and calls quickly, finding solutions to challenges without making a drama of them, being flexible and adaptable and, most of all, focusing on others’ needs and not just your own.
At a basic level, it’s about enjoying what you do and making sure those who interact with you enjoy the relationship as well. We spend the majority of our waking hours working, so let’s make it a rewarding experience for everyone.
